Special Uninstall Instructions for the UT12 (USB)

USB Scanner Uninstall Instructions

1. Right click on AM 32 on task bar and click on exit, if the Instant Access OCR is on the task bar then right click on it and left click on close.
2. Click on Start, Programs, Plustek Scanner and click on uninstall scanner. If asked about shared files say "yes to all".
3. Right click on the Start button on the lower left corner of the desktop, then left click on Explore. On the left side window of Exlporer look for Start Menu and left click on it. Double click on the Program folder that appears on the right side of Explorer. Look for "Plustek Scanner" on the right and right click on it and left click on delete.
4. Scroll down if you see Twain or Twain-32 then right click on the folder and left click on delete for one or both folders.
5. Scroll to the top of the Windows Explorer Start Menu on the left side of Explorer and look for Program Files and left click on the plus sign. Then right click on the folder called Plustek USA and left click on delete.
6. Then close out of the Windows Explore Menu.
7. Left click on Start
8. Left click on Run. Delete anything in the open box and type REGEDIT and click on OK. Click on the plus sign the reads HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (This will open up the folder). Then click on the plus sign folder for Software. Right click on the file called "Plustek Scanner" and/or "ScannerU folder" and left click on delete.
9. Click on the X in the upper right hand corner to close.
10. Click on Start, Find and then Files and Folders and type "USB scanner" in the Named box and make sure that you are on your Windows C drive in the "Look In" field. Click on "Find Now" and after the search is complete Click on Edit and Select All, then press the delete key on your keyboard to delete the files. Click on the X in the upper right on corner to close the Find Box.
11. Right click on My Computer , left click on properties, left click on Device Manager. Left click on the plus sign for Imaging Device and find Plustek USA Scanner, then right click on it and click on remove.
12. Right click on your recycle bin and empty the recycle bin.

Click on Start, Shut down and click on Restart to restart your computer.
