Scans Vertical Lines solution:
When scanning, if vertical lines appear all over the image, make sure that your BIOS is properly configured. You can do this by following this guideline:

If the problem persists then it is possible that you have a bad CCD or CIS. Please email a copy of an attempted scan to so that we may determine if it is a defective imaging device. Make sure you scan it at 75dpi with a JPEG interchange extension.
