Scan Failed or Scanner Not Found solution (USB):
If you receive a "scan failed" or "scanner not found" message make sure that no conflicts exists in the Device Manager.
1. Right click on My Computer (icon on desktop)
2. Left click on Properties
3. Left click on Device Manager
4. Left click on plus sign (+) on Imaging Device. If you have a yellow (?) or (!) on the USB device, click on the device and then click on Remove.
5. Reboot your computer.
6. Click on Start, Programs, Plustek Scanner and Scanner Utility, then click on test scanner and then OK. This will also set the scanner light.
7. Click on start, programs, Plustek Scanner and Action Manager and minimize the action manager on your task bar. This program has to be open for the scanner to operate.* If you do not see the "Universal Serial Bus" controller in the Device Manager you will need to enter your BIOS and enable the USB support under the Plug and Play tab. Please consult your computer manafacturer or manual if you do not know how to enter into the computer setup (BIOS).
