Black/White Image solution:
Make sure that you have RGB color selected in the TWAIN window. Also, check to make sure that the crop box (dotted line in the white area to the right) is around the portion that you are attempting to scan.
If the problem persists then it is possible that you have a bad CCD or CIS. Please email a copy of an attempted scan to so that we may determine if it is a defective imaging device. Make sure you scan it at 75dpi with a JPEG interchange extension.
