No or Blank Image solution:

Check to make sure that the crop box (dotted line in the white area to the right) is around the portion that you are attempting to scan.

If the settings are correct and you are still getting no image then disconnect the scanner cable from the back of the computer. Disconnect the AC adapter from the wall. Then reboot the computer. When Windows boots back up reconnect the AC adapter first then the scanner cable. After that is done disconnect the AC adapter plug from the scanner only and not the wall then reconnect it. Check the connection again in the scanner utility.

If the problem persists then it is possible that you have a bad CCD. Please email a copy of an attempted scan to so that we may determine if it is a defective imaging device. Make sure you scan it at 75dpi with a JPEG interchange extension.
